What is Renovalase™?
Renovalase™ is a minimally invasive laser treatment for Vaginal Atrophy (vaginal dryness). Clinical studies show that it is an efficient, easy-to-use, quick and safe procedure that eliminates the need for long-term oestrogen administration.
With no need for long-term oestrogen treatment, RenovaLase™ is also appropriate for patients with oestrogen-dependent cancer (such as endometrial cancer, breast cancer, etc.) or with a family background of such cancers.
What is Vaginal Atrophy?
Vaginal atrophy refers to the thinning of the wall of the vagina that often occurs post menopause due to the lack of oestrogen and is associated with dryness. Some of the symptoms of Vaginal Atrophy are....
Vaginal itching and irritation
Chronic vaginal discharge
Vaginal burning sensation
Ulceration of the vaginal mucosa.
Dyspareunia (difficult or painful intercourse) [LINK]
How does Renovalase™ work?
The RenovaLase™ treatment is based on laser-induced, mild and controlled heating of the vaginal tissue, which stimulates angiogenesis (development of new blood vessels), fibroblast activity and new collagen formation without thermal or ablative damage. The final result is increased epithelial thickness and vascularisation, along with a reduction of symptoms such as dryness, itching, irritation and dyspareunia.
